Studio Institute–Memphis
Discovery-based learning. Programs for students, pre-K through college.
Customized visual arts programming and professional development.

Studio Institute–Memphis has been working with pre-K students and educators to create rich early learning experiences through a visual arts curriculum that supports and enhances children’s language, motor skills, and emotional development. This discovery-based learning approach enables four-year-olds to make choices and gain skills through the exploration of materials and their own ideas.

For 20 years, the Arts Intern program has provided college students with paid, hands-on, authentic work experiences at museums and cultural institutions in their city. In the summer of 2019, Arts Intern came to Memphis, where nine undergraduates completed internships in departments that included Collections, Curatorial, Marketing, and Development.
