Arts Intern–Memphis

What Is
Arts Intern?

For 20 years, the Arts Intern program has provided college students with paid, hands-on, authentic work experiences at museums and cultural institutions in their city. In the summer of 2019, Arts Intern came to Memphis, where nine undergraduates completed internships in departments that included Collections, Curatorial, Marketing, and Development.

The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, Art Museum of the University of Memphis, ArtsMemphis, River Arts Fest, Urban Art Commission, Metal Museum, and Stax Museum of American Soul Music all hosted interns. The interns, all Memphis natives, attend the University of Memphis, Christian Brothers University, Saint Louis University, and Scripps College.
