Expanding The Frame for Student Success is a research project conducted by the Studio Institute to improve 4th and 5th graders’ Math and English Language Arts achievement through arts-integrated units of study.

Project Design

Artist instructors and classroom teachers planned and taught together to implement arts-integrated units of study.

Technology

Technology integration is a key component of Expanding The Frame, and is utilized in a variety of ways throughout all aspects of the project.

Curriculum

Classroom teachers and artist instructors collaborate to teach units that address specific skills in Math, ELA, and Art.
