When philanthropist Agnes Gund founded Studio in a School in 1977, she was on a mission to ensure visual arts education had a place in NYC public schools. Today, Studio has successfully served over one million students in classrooms and communities across all five boroughs—and beyond, in cities outside of New York, including Cleveland, Memphis, and Newark. Now, we’re marking a big milestone and we hope you’ll join us.
You’re cordially invited to Studio in a School’s 45th Anniversary Gala on October 13, 2022, at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City with EMCEE Sarah Elizabeth Lewis, Associate Professor, Harvard University and Founder, The Vision and Justice Project. We’ll also be joined by our Artistic Honoree, Teresita Fernández, and Philanthropic Honoree, Darren Walker.
Once every five years, Studio hosts its fundraising gala to raise critical revenue for our work. We’ve still got a way to go to reach our fundraising goal. Help us continue bringing quality visual arts education to young people.
