Every summer since 2012, the Bloomberg Arts Internship (BAI) program has offered New York City high school students paid internships in cultural institutions across the boroughs, allowing them to build skills and competencies through authentic work experience, participate in arts engagement opportunities, and receive assistance with the college application process.
Under the direction of Studio Institute film instructor, Shoshana Ehrenkranz, three intrepid BAI film interns—(left to right:) Shamar, Ciera, and Debora—braved the summer heat to visit BAI work sites citywide to document the range of internships, capturing students’ reflections and observations about their summer experience.
