Agnes Gund Featured in Cleveland Newspaper

An article by Steven Litt featuring Studio in a School/Studio Institute founder Agnes Gund appeared in The Plain Dealer and its online edition (cleveland.com) on May 26, 2023. Entitled “Cleveland native Agnes Gund, 84, still pushes boundaries in art and philanthropy, nationally and in her hometown,” the feature is based on an interview conducted with Agnes shortly after she visited Cleveland in April.

While in town to promote awareness of Studio Institute art education programs in Cleveland public schools, community settings, and local arts and cultural institutions, Agnes met with Mayor Justin Bibb and attended Young Cleveland Creates, an exhibition of children’s work from program—which was held at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Community Arts Center, in the Pivot Center for Art, Dance and Expression.

We at Studio Institute are proud to work for an organization focused on advancing social justice and equity in the arts
and applaud the generosity of spirit and support of our founder.
