Join Us for the Opening Reception and Free Family Visual Arts Workshop
We are pleased to present A Creative Start—a showcase of work by young artists in Newark and East Orange, New Jersey—hosted by Artfront Galleries as part of the 2023 Newark Arts Festival.
The artworks on display were created by pre-kindergarten and early childhood students participating in Studio Institute (Studio) programs at La Casa de Don Pedro Head Start Centers in Newark, New Jersey and the East Orange School District in East Orange, New Jersey.
In addition to the exhibition, we will be hosting a free Family Visual Arts Workshop led by Studio Institute artist instructors. Please join us for a fun afternoon at Artfront Galleries, 44 William Street, in Newark on Saturday, September 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Explore your creativity, make art, and have fun in the company of family, friends, and community. All are welcome; no prior art experience is necessary.
At the workshop, you will have the opportunity to experiment with different materials as you create your own artwork. What’s more, you will leave the session with a goody bag of art supplies so that you can continue making art at home. We hope to see you there!
