EdVestors: Communications Intern (Boston)
OVERVIEW
The Communications Intern at EdVestors will play a key role in expanding the organization’s digital presence and strengthening its storytelling efforts. Reporting to the Strategic Communications Manager, the intern will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of communication strategies, with a focus on social media content creation, community engagement, and digital marketing analytics. The intern will be responsible for documenting the Bloomberg Arts Internship (BAI) Program, capturing and sharing compelling stories that highlight the program’s impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Social Media Content Creation & Strategy – Develop a bank of evergreen content for LinkedIn and Facebook and create a three-month content proposal for launching EdVestors’ Instagram page.
Bloomberg Arts Internship Digital Documentation – Produce weekly Instagram posts and reels, curate images and graphics, and write two blog posts recapping the internship program.
Community Engagement & Social Media Management – Monitor engagement across social platforms, respond to audience inquiries, and help maintain an active and dynamic online presence.
Performance Analysis & Reporting – Compile a communications analytics report, providing insights and recommendations to improve future digital engagement strategies.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
Strong Communication & Writing Skills – Ability to craft compelling social media captions, blog posts, and marketing materials that align with EdVestors’ brand and mission.
Social Media & Digital Marketing Experience – Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and digital content creation tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Attention to Detail & Organizational Skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure content accuracy and consistency.
Creative & Collaborative Mindset – Passion for education, the arts, and nonprofit work, with a proactive, team-oriented approach and a strong sense of curiosity.
By the end of the internship, the intern will have developed strategic communication skills, gained hands-on experience in nonprofit digital marketing, and contributed meaningfully to EdVestors’ storytelling and engagement efforts. This opportunity offers real-world experience in nonprofit communications, social media strategy, and content development, preparing the intern for future roles in marketing, public relations, and digital media within the education and arts sectors.
COMPENSATION
$22.50 per hour
INTERNS WILL WORK 28 HOURS PER WEEK AND ATTEND A MANDATORY OFFSITE PROGRAM DAY ONE DAY PER WEEK WITH THEIR COHORT.
Internship Period: June 9 – August 8
Total Weeks: 9 weeks
Work Hours per Week: 28
Total Hours: 252
Workdays: 4 days per week onsite (Mondays – Thursdays)
Work hours will be 9 AM - 5 PM
PROGRAM DAY:
On Fridays, interns will attend an offsite program day with their cohort.
These hours are separate from the internship hours.
