EdVestors: Development Intern (Boston)

OVERVIEW
The Development Intern will help improve data quality and streamline data management processes in Salesforce. They will clean funder and constituent data in Salesforce and continue ownership of the data hygiene maintenance schedule. The intern will also assist with various development projects in Salesforce, including researching Salesforce integrations, moves management processes, and building task assignments. If of interest, the intern may also have tasks and “mini-projects” supporting finance and operations.

Through this project, the intern will gain hands-on experience with Salesforce administration and data management skills. They will also gain a better understanding of non-profit fundraising processes and operations as well as communication and collaboration skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleaning up current data in Salesforce by checking for completeness of records, accuracy of data, duplicates, etc.

  • Researching publicly available information on key funders and constituents to assist in maintaining complete records

  • Maintaining the data hygiene schedule by completing regular maintenance tasks

  • Assisting with development event tasks and maintaining event campaigns in Salesforce

  • Supporting the work of the Finance and Operations team if of interest

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Passion for education and/or non-profit work

  • Enthusiastic team player with a sense of humor and positive attitude

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Google and/or Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience working with databases a plus but not required

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar fundraising software a plus but not required

COMPENSATION

  • $22.50 per hour

INTERNS WILL WORK 28 HOURS PER WEEK AND ATTEND A MANDATORY OFFSITE PROGRAM DAY ONE DAY PER WEEK WITH THEIR COHORT.

  • Internship Period: June 9 – August 8

  • Total Weeks: 9 weeks

  • Work Hours per Week: 28

  • Total Hours: 252

  • Workdays: 4 days per week onsite (Mondays – Thursdays)  

  • Work hours will be 9 AM - 5 PM

PROGRAM DAY:

  • On Fridays, interns will attend an offsite program day with their cohort.

  • These hours are separate from the internship hours.
