Museum of Chinese in America: Educational Intern (New York)
OVERVIEW
The Education Intern at MOCA will engage in a dynamic and rigorous learning experience integrating museum education, public programming, and community engagement. Over the course of the internship, the intern will contribute to family programming, educational resource development, and event preparation. The centerpiece of the internship is a capstone project—a research-driven educational tool or interactive program designed in collaboration with MOCA’s Education Team. This project will not only support MOCA’s mission but also provide a tangible deliverable for the intern’s professional portfolio. Through a structured, hands-on approach, the intern will gain invaluable experience in museum education, project management, and audience engagement.
The capstone project will be a research-based educational initiative developed with the MOCA Education Team. The intern will define the scope of the project based on their interests and career aspirations, ensuring that their contributions have a lasting impact on museum programming.
