Signature Theatre Company: HRIS Data Management and Analytics Intern
OVERVIEW
The HRIS Summer Intern at Signature Theatre will play a key role in enhancing HRIS workflows, data integrity, and process optimization within the Human Resources department. Over a 9-week internship, the intern will gain hands-on experience in HR technology, data management, and analytics, assisting with system support, troubleshooting, and report generation. The intern will identify opportunities for process improvement, propose enhancements for payroll and performance review administration, and contribute to streamlining employee self-service modules. This role offers practical exposure to HRIS administration, allowing the intern to develop critical skills in HR technology, system upgrades, and HR data analytics, directly supporting Signature Theatre’s operational efficiency and HR digital transformation efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
HRIS Data Entry & Maintenance – Accurately enter and update employee information within the HRIS database, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
System Support & Troubleshooting – Assist HR team members in navigating the HRIS platform, troubleshoot technical issues, and support system updates.
Report Generation & Analysis – Compile and analyze HR metrics, generate reports, and support dashboard distribution to key stakeholders.
Process Optimization & Documentation – Identify areas for HRIS workflow improvement, update user guides, and assist in training HR staff on system functionalities.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
Academic & Professional Background – Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
Technical & Analytical Skills – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with a basic understanding of HRIS concepts and reporting tools.
Detail-Oriented & Process-Driven – Strong attention to accuracy in data entry, analysis, and process documentation.
Collaborative & Independent Worker – Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and within a team, and previous internship or work experience in HR or IT is a plus.

COMPENSATION
$22.50 per hour
INTERNS WILL WORK 28 HOURS PER WEEK AND ATTEND A MANDATORY OFFSITE PROGRAM DAY ONE DAY PER WEEK WITH THEIR COHORT.
Internship Period: June 2 – August 1
Total Weeks: 9 weeks
Work Hours per Week: 28
Total Hours: 252
Workdays: 4 days per week onsite (Mondays – Thursdays)
Work hours will be 10 AM - 6 PM
PROGRAM DAY:
On Fridays, interns will attend an offsite program day with their cohort.
These hours are separate from the internship hours.
