The Juilliard School: Information Technology Intern (New York)

OVERVIEW
The Information Technology Intern at The Juilliard School’s Information Technology Department will gain hands-on experience in technical support, IT engineering, and web development. Over the course of the internship, students will work closely with IT professionals, develop problem-solving skills, and contribute to meaningful technology projects. This role offers an opportunity to refine technical abilities, collaborate with a team, and produce portfolio-worthy deliverables—all while supporting one of the world’s leading performing arts institutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the IT team to update web pages, including basic information and policy

  • Gain practical experience in web design and development within an arts-focused academic setting.

  • Take ownership of a designated technology project, such as improving web content on the Juilliard intranet or supporting IT infrastructure.

  • Apply training to troubleshoot and support client-facing hardware and software solutions.

  • Assist the IT Engineering team with technical problem-solving and implementation.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic knowledge of Windows 10/11, Mac OS, and iOS

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools

  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues

  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team (preferred)

  • Experience with web development and content management systems (preferred)

  • Exposure to IT engineering or systems administration (preferred)

COMPENSATION

  • $22.50 per hour

INTERNS WILL WORK 28 HOURS PER WEEK AND ATTEND A MANDATORY OFFSITE PROGRAM DAY ONE DAY PER WEEK WITH THEIR COHORT.

  • Internship Period: June 2 – August 1

  • Total Weeks: 9 weeks

  • Work Hours per Week: 28

  • Total Hours: 252

  • Workdays: 4 days per week onsite (Mondays – Thursdays)

  • Work hours will be 9 AM - 5 PM  

PROGRAM DAY:

  • On Fridays, interns will attend an offsite program day with their cohort.

  • These hours are separate from the internship hours.
