Background

With more than 47 years of arts education experience, we’ve seen how early exposure to process-focused, inquiry-driven art exploration stimulates children’s innate creativity and allows them to make connections as they engage with the world around them.

Through collaborative partnerships with schools and community-based organizations, such as daycare centers and Head Start, Creative Start can be implemented in a series of in-class sessions over the course of the school year.

Studio Institute programs in Cleveland are supported in part by the residents of Cuyahoga County through a public grant from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture.

The children are always so excited about art class. They know that if it's Wednesday, it’s art day.
They look forward to seeing Juan Pablo, their Studio Institute teacher.
